• Tweaked Apple Music Navigation Bar on 4th-Gen Apple TV Gives a Glimpse of Changes

Reports have surfaced that suggests Apple is gearing up to give its Apple Music platform a major overhaul.

A new design is proposed to make its debut with iOS 10, which is expected to be announced at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, set to take place in mid-June. It is said to boast a different interface design, which could feature “huge artwork,” a black-and-white design scheme, lyrics integration, and more. Other key changes, like category changes, are said to be happening, too.

And the first glimpse of that change has reportedly been discovered on the fourth-generation Apple TV running tvOS. According to 9to5Mac, which received a screenshot of the tweaked software, the changes were only present for a short period of time before they reverted back to their standard naming scheme and layout.

The leaked navigation bar shows that the “Browse” option replaced the “New” category. That would line up with previous rumors, as Apple is said to be replacing the New category and renaming it Browse with the Apple Music redesign.

On top of that, the My Music tab is no longer present in the shared image, either, instead apparently replaced by “Library.” The “Playlists” tab is no longer present in the leaked image, either.

In the current version of Apple Music for Apple TV, the navigation bar holds For You, New, Radio, My Music, Playlists, and Search. In this tweaked version, which is apparently a sign of what’s to come, the navigation bar holds Library, For You, Browse, Radio, and Search.

It’s worth noting that the Connect tab in the iOS 10 Apple Music redesign is said to be getting demoted in a big way, and that it won’t boast any new additions or features along with the changes coming to Apple Music.

If you aren’t using Apple Music anymore, will a design change convince you to come back?
