Yesterday, Apple announced that it will be opening an iOS App Design and Development Accelerator in Bengaluru, India, the company announced the opening of a new development office in Hyderabad that will focus on Apps Maps.

Apple noted in a press release that it will help accelerate the development of Apple Maps and could create up to 4,000 Jobs in India. The facility would be located inside the Waverock Campus that will provide LEED-certified home for the Maps team which would work there.
“Apple is focused on making the best products and services in the world and we are thrilled to open this new office in Hyderabad which will focus on Maps development,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “The talent here in the local area is incredible and we are looking forward to expanding our relationships and introducing more universities and partners to our platforms as we scale our operations.”
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook is currently on a visit to India where he will be meeting some high level executives from various telecom operators for strategic partnerships to push iPhones sales and distribution.
