Apple released iOS 9.3.2 few days back, which includes a number of bug fixes and security improvements.
It isn’t a major update like iOS 9.3, but we’ve heard some reports of people complaining that their iPhone battery is draining faster after installing iOS 9.3.2.Our reader Aaron wrote to us to point out that battery life is draining faster on older iOS devices like iPhone 5, iPad Air after installing the latest update:
Battery drain issues on older devices with iOS 9.3.2
Tested on 1st gen iPad min, 2 x iPad Air’s 1st gen, iPhone 5
All were on 100% at 23:30 last night, this morning iPad mini on 13%, iPad Airs on 68% and 70% and the iPhone 5 on 56%……..
My iPhone 6S was on 100% at 21:00 lastnight this morning it was 77%
Further testing currently being carried out on 2 x SE’s, iPad Air 2 as well as the above devices.
I must admit that I have been struggling with battery life on my iPhone 6s Plus and have been coping with it thanks to Low Power mode, but it was even before installing iOS 9.3.2. It is also possible that Low Power mode has made me lazy, and I am not charging my device overnight as often, which is why I am running out of battery life more often.
Nevertheless, I haven’t noticed any major improvements and degradation of battery life after installing iOS 9.3.2. How has battery life been for you after upgrading to iOS 9.3.2? Take part in our poll below and let us know. Feel free to leave a comment to tell us your experience.
