• Luca Todesco teases iOS 9.3.3 Beta 1 running Cydia

    Today, "infamous" iOS hacker Luca Todesco AKA @qwertyoruiopz has carried on that he has a working version of Cydia 1.1.26 on the newly released beta version of iOS 9.3.3.


    Luca Todesco posted a moronic post "plz send moar hate" and "aaaaand jailbroken" by Twitter this morning of a photo of what looks to be a Jailbroken iPod with Cydia running iOS 9.3.3 Beta 1.

    Unfortunately users are unable to download this jailbreak software as Luca Todesco will not release a Jailbreak for the community. A few months ago, Todesco posted a screenshot to Twitter of a Jailbroken 9.2.1 and Apple credited Todesco about iOS 9.2 security vulnerabilities which were fixed.

    The Jailbreak Community will need to wait for a Jailbreak, though this is good news as it is obviously states that Cydia can be installed on iDevices running on iOS 9.3.3 which has not been released to the public yet.

      Until I see a working JB this to me will be considered as fake for a number of reasons... first and foremost is that it would be relatively easy to edited a screen cap, download it to the phone and open in the picture viewer full screen.

      So until something is released and is confirmed to be from him, I don't care.

      Luca thrives off "hate"... if he was a true genuine hacker that wants to help Apple.. I'm sure he could help the Jailbreak community.

      Luca helped with 9.2.1 vulnerabilities which Apple has confirmed.

      The only thing that's holding Luca from releasing his jailbrake software is his selfish ego and his $$$ from Apple Inc.

      Apple keeps releasing new updates more frequently. I wonder if this is their way of getting around the jailbreak. "Well you see, if we leave that bug there and they notice it, then we will come out with another update and the jailbreakers will just have to keep waiting for a stable release, which they won't ever see anymore." Just my thought.

      Luca has been around in the jailbreak community for years. He has helped TaiG and Pangu for several jailbreaks. He’s said several times that he would do more to help, except it is illegal to jailbreak where he lives, so he cannot legally share the exploits. As is he has done as much as he legally can to help the jailbreak community with everything from sharing as much info about exploits as is legal, dumping crash reports online that helped him find exploits, given info to TaiG and Pangu, and even just help explain what things are currently holding a jailbreak back.

      He posted this on twitter because regardless of the amount of time he spends trying to help the community, he gets nothing but hate from people telling him to release his jailbreak or calling him a fraud or threatening him. As someone uninterested in jail time myself, I’d do exactly what he’s doing right now, and I think every single reasonable person would as well. To ask someone to potentially put themselves in jail because you want a jailbreak is an extremely unreasonable request. To continue pouring hate on someone who has gone out of their way to help as much as they can is just being a “twat” yourself.

      I, for one, am just glad that 9.3.2 CAN be jailbroken, and I’m glad that Luca is still at work with this. Hopefully we see something from this.

      I find it quite unbelievable that on this planet of 7bn plus people, there is just one chap who has the know how and inclination to jailbreak 9.2/9.3.

      And hey, he's not sharing?!! (and he's well within his rights not to)

      Let's hope he's passing the intel on to Taig/Pangu but taking a look at their respective Twitter feeds they appear all but redundant right now...

      Truly sad state of affairs if you a jailbreak aficionado.

      Historically, jailbreaks work on betas. It is like if the security layer is added on the release version only, to help jb developers test their tweaks :-)
