Supercharge: make tweaks for non-jailbroken devices, on your non-jailbroken device

This new project could prove interesting if this teaser lives up to the hype.
You read that right. In a brief, somewhat cryptic tweet by one of the two developers, Kabir Oberai and nullpixel, a new project which would allow you to make tweaks for non-jailbroken devices on non-jailbroken devices, has been announced.
This will allow developers to create tweaks for third-party apps like Spotify and Twitter. What it will not do is allow you to customize your device's user interface or anything that requires system access.
The project aims at opening up the walled garden that is iOS without using any exploits usually use or things like jailbreaking, which would, in theory, allow it to function properly on newer firmware like iOS 11.
This could be a "game-changer", says Nullpixel, and he is right, as currently non-jailbroken users have to rely on developers to tweak, repackage, upload and host the packages instead of being able to tweak on the go. According to Kabir Oberai, the project can be seen as something similar to Flex, a powerful application utility for jailbroken devices, however without the pain that is maintaining a jailbreak.
More information is on the way, so stay tuned. This article was originally published in forum thread: Supercharge: make tweaks for non-jailbroken devices, on your non-jailbroken device started by Logan Garner View original post- Categories:
