Prominent Chronic Dev Team member @p0sixninja tweeted about some information regarding the iPad 2 jailbreak and 4.3.x greenpois0n support.
Entitled State of the Chronic, this short article on the greenpois0n website elaborates on three key upcoming events that the Chronic Dev Team is pushing for:
- iPad 2 Jailbreak
- 4.3.x greenpois0n support
- greenpois0n merchandise
iPad 2 Jailbreak:
Joshua Hill (@p0sixninja) has been working extremely hard to get this iPad 2 jailbreak running and out to the public. Rumors have spread that "weeks" is the key word to Funday but at the time, it was mostly speculation. The author at greenpois0n stated that the team will hold p0sixninja to that earlier statement and quotes;
I’m not going to get into extensive detail about this, but what I will say one of the missing puzzle pieces may have reared its head and cast a glance in our direction… take from that what you will.
- Be patient - they're doing all they can so support their efforts, not tear them down
- Be for them, not against them - if you're going to tweet/contact/chat with any of the people cheer them on! Don't ask ETA's, release dates, etc. Those will all come soon enough
- Stay tuned - as mentioned above, a large step has been made so be on the lookout for an iPad 2 jailbreak in the near future
4.3.x greenpois0n support:
Although the focus was not entirely shifted to the iPad 2 jailbreak, greenpois0n has not been updated to support 4.3.x. The following statement sums it up:
it has now become possible to easily update and execute a workflow to enable RC6.2 (tentatively speaking… mmm #dirt) to be released “soon”…
And on a completely other note, it has been stated that a greenpois0n merchandise store is underway. It's "lowest on the totem pole" but is in the works. Pictures and designs have been floating around Twitter so be prepared for some opportunity to purchase items from them if you wish.
