• iPad 2 Camera Nearly Confirmed in iOS 4.3 beta, Rumors of More Social Network Features

iOS 4.3 beta 2, released to developers Wednesday, has revealed even more to the already substantial evidence that the second generation iPad will feature a camera, most likely one in front and one in back. This time, there's photo evidence found in the beta that all but proves that we'll see a camera when the next iPad, likely in the first quarter of this year.

An image was found in the beta, titled 'homeScreenOverlayFaceTime~ipad.png' that is allegedly used by iOS to allow a user to preview a wallpaper, before actually choosing it. The image includes three new app icons however, which all but confirms a camera on the next iPad. The apps are FaceTime, Camera, ad Photo Booth, which seems like there might just be a camera to use those apps.

Although there is no way of telling whether there will be both a front and rear camera, it looks very, very likely that the next generation iPad will feature a front camera, with the inclusion of both Photo Booth and FaceTime.

It also seems that Apple is planning on adding more social features to iOS in the 4.3 update. In the first beta, a Find My Friends service was discovered, now we're seeing evidence of two new services, titled "Media Stream" and "Photo Streaming" which could integrate media, movies, and photos from multiple iOS devices, likely through Apple's MobileMe service. There is also evidence that this may be a free MobileMe feature, similar to FindMyiPhone, which became free for current generation devices with iOS 4.2.1.
