Spotify is a music streaming service, comparable to Pandora, that allows you to play music from anywhere. It includes online and offline mode so you can listen to your favorite tracks whether you have an Internet connection or not. The music client is free on all computers with ads, however mobile users have to purchase Spotify premium, which comes with a monthly fee of $9.99 per month and has no ads. First-time users of the application can try the service for free for up to 30 days.
Spotify has issued an update to their iOS application today (version 0.5.0). The application is finally iPad-compatible and includes some additional fixes for the application for all iOS devices. Yes – users could always run the iPhone version of the application on their iPad, however what we have been waiting for is the full-screen version that actually uses the iPad's unique hardware. The interface of the new iPad version has been optimized to take advantage of the large iPad screen as the interface similarly resembles the desktop version, despite some obvious differences.

Apart from the iPad support, the application includes some minor updates for the application universally including gapless playback and cross-fading, a fix for a bug that could cause offline playlists to be deleted by the system, and finally a fix for a crash which was invoked by updating playlists or starring music tracks.
If you have an iPad (or any other iOS device) and you are a music junkie, you should consider taking a look at Spotify. I’ve been using it for a few months now and the sound quality is amazing. It's also a plus not having to use your iOS device's storage to hold music anymore as it allows more space for applications.
