The new iPad will launch in 30 more countries this weekend on May 11 and May 12.
The largest of the countries is Brazil, which seems a little insensitive on Apple’s part to delay the launch so long considering Foxconn’s Brazilian factories build both the iPhone, new iPad and iPad 2. However, rumors have suggested only iPhones and iPad 2s built in Brazil have received the OK from Apple to be sold in Brazil, or other countries.
Brazilian officials hoped wooing Apple and their partners to build iDevice products in the country would lower the cost of the products for Brazilian citizens. So far that hasn’t exactly happened. Whatever the case, 29 countries in addition to Brazil will finally be able to purchase Apple’s new iPad this weekend.
The full list of countries for the May 11 launch include Argentina, Aruba, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, Costa Rica, Curacao, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Kenya, Madagascar, Malta, Martinique, Mauritius, Morocco, Peru, Taiwan, Tunisia, and Vietnam.
On may 12 the new iPad will launch in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates, rounding out the 30 new launch countries.
