• Tweetbot for Mac Alpha Releases New Update with Several Attractive Features

Tweetbot for Mac alpha recently received a substantial update that brings new features allowing users to have a setup similar to that of Hootsuite or Tweetdeck if they choose to. Originally spotted by The Next Web, Tweetbot for Mac now features the ability to pop out separate timeline windows and easily dock them together to create a Tweetdeck-like interface, notification improvements, and a new menu in the menu bar allowing you to manage signed-in accounts more easily and to compose a new tweet.

Here, managing multiple windows and therefore multiple in the new Tweetbot for Mac is simple and elegant. To do this, you just click the little gear icon at the bottom right and open whatever youíre viewing as a new window. Upon doing this, mentions, favorites, DMs, lists etc. will all be displayed in separate windows on your desktop. When you click and drag windows onto each other, they will snap together making it really convenient for the user. Windows can be made thinner and tweets can be sent from a shortcut in the menu bar icon that glows when you have new alerts.

Tweetbot for Mac on OS X Mountain Lion also displays notifications from all accounts you have open and can be used for tweeting out links and media. Youíll even be given the option to embed your location in a tweet. This allows you to keep track of everything regarding multiple accounts in one place in a neat and organized manner.

For those of you who didnít already know, Tweetbot for Mac is currently a free alpha on the Tapbots website. Itís set to eventually reach the Mac App store as a paid app, which will include the awesome iCloud integration that Tweetbot for iPhone and iPad offers. With the recent update, Tweetbot for Mac is getting closer and closer to being the best Twitter client of them all. You can check out the release notes below:
