As MMi has covered extensively in recent days, Apple is on the verge of introducing the 6th generation iPhone in the coming weeks. But just because we may get our first look at the new iPhone in early September, it isn't yet clear when consumers will be able to get their hands on the hotly anticipated device.
On Monday, however, sources close to the development and launch of the next-generation device reveal that AT&T will, in fact, begin selling the new iPhone in "late September," ostensibly within two weeks of the formal unveiling of the refreshed smartphone.
One individual in the know tells BGR that the carrier is "currently planning to launch Apple’s next-generation iPhone during the third or fourth week of September, with an all-hands-on-deck policy in place for employees that will extend through to the middle of October."
A second AT&T source confirms that a large training event for regional employees has been rescheduled from the first week of October due to a conflict with a “huge announcement.”
