• Rovio Posts Another Angry Birds Star Wars Teaser Video

Last week, Rovio teased the world with an Angry Birds Star Wars video, revealing that they have teamed up with Hasbro and Lucasfilm to combine the Angry Birds world with the Star Wars world. Today, Rovio launches yet another teaser (shown above).

Rovio has yet to show us the actual game play, but the video shows an Angry Birds slingshot on top of Han Soloís Millennium Falcon. Itís not known if this will be a reality within the game, or if it was just intended as a dramatization, but it would be super cool if we could fling Angry Birds off of a moving space ship at the pigs.

Rovio has certainly been busy, updating their Web site with fan art from fans drawing and submitting Angry Birds Star Wars pictures. You can view their Web site, as well as the fan art, here.

The Angry Birds Star Wars game will be released to the public on November 8th and will be available for iOS users, Mac users, Android users, Windows users, and Windows Phone users.

      Enough spinoffs...

You've milked it long enough, sooner or later you'll realize people do get bored of this stuff. You are a fad and nothing more

oh how wrong you are (even though many wish you were right). Fads don't last as long as Angry Birds has lasted (and continues to grow). Spent any time around kids lately? Seen all the merchandising that is going on? Some kids don't even play this game but have Angry Birds t-shirts, backpacks, and so on. Angry Birds has become a massive franchise beyond just their original iOS game. They've sold tens of millions of copies and their merchandising sales will probably surpass software sales if they haven't already, much like merchandising for Mario has or Star Wars itself. Sorry, not a fad.

I haven't played an Angry Birds game since Seasons but this Star Wars game will definitely be purchased. I'm kind of excited about it.
