The popular paid iOS E-mail client, Sparrow, although bought out by Google and still not offering any solution for push notifications, has been updated today to version 1.3.3. If you’re still holding on to the client, you can grab the update for free from the Updates tab in the App Store.
The update adds support for the four-inch display in Apple’s iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5G. It also adds support for Passbook, meaning if you receive any Passbook attachments via E-mail, Sparrow now knows how to open them in the iOS 6 Passbook application so you can use them.
Sparrow mentioned when it was bought out by Google that they would no longer be adding new features to their E-mail client, although they would continue to support it and add fixes where necessary. It’s good to see that they are keeping up with Apple’s new technology, as it is surely a "necessary" thing to do.
If you’re not currently a Sparrow user, but you’re interested in trying the application out for your E-mail needs, you can grab it from this link for $2.99.
