One of the popular new features of the iPod touch 5G is the new wrist strap that it comes with. It has an unobtrusive, button-like attachment on the rear of the device so you can easily add and remove the wrist strap on demand. Unfortunately, Apple didn’t include this with the iPhone 5.
A third party company known as Photojojo is now offering a wrist strap for the iPhone 4/4S/5 that works similarly to the iPod touch 5G wrist strap. The only difference being that the attachment is a screw-on part and not a built-in button like on the iPod touch 5G.
The mounting bracket screws into the bottom of the iPhone near the dock connector, where the two screws for the device can be found. Photojojo makes two separate kinds of the bracket – one to fit the larger dock of the iPhone 4/4S, and a smaller one to fit the Lightning connector dock of the iPhone 5:

Screwing pieces of metal to your iPhone may be a little sketchy, and we tend to agree, but if you’re going nuts because your iPhone doesn’t have the same wrist strap feature that the new iPod touch has, then this is an option. It's also going to be awkward with some cases that aren't very open towards the bottom, as the extended piece of metal may not fit the case properly. One has the option of finding a new case, or taking a Dremel tool to the case to make it fit.
Albeit you will be screwing a piece of metal to the iPhone, it definitely looks sturdy enough to support the minor weight of the iPhone. The hole in the mounting bracket also makes it possible to fit your charging cable without any issues.
This new iPhone add-on will set the customer back $35.00 from the Photojojo Web site. You can select between Blue, Brown, and Red for wrist strap colors.
