Yesterday, Twitter officially announced that their mobile application would get an update to allow users to apply photograph filters to the photographs they want to share with their Twitter followers. Although the Android version of the application was ready immediately yesterday after the announcement, the iOS version hasn’t been updated until today.
Twitter users can now download the updated Twitter application and apply up to eight different photograph filters to the photographs they want to share on Twitter. Users can swipe through them individually, or enter Bird’s-eye view to see what the photograph would look like under every filter at once. Users can also take advantage of an auto-enhance feature and a crop feature for their photographs right from the Twitter application:

Users can access the photograph filters as soon as they go to Tweet a picture, either from their Camera Roll or fresh from the camera sensor. The eight filters the application comes with, provided by Aviary, are:
- Vignette
- Black & White
- Warm
- Cool
- Vintage
- Cinematic
- Happy
- Gritty
Existing users will find the Twitter update from the Updates tab on the App Store. New users can download Twitter for free from this link – a free Twitter account is required to use the new features.
