Hmmm I was browsing through my iphone and noticed:
    /System/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Currently there is a folder QuickTime Plugin.webplugin, which contains:
    QuickTime Plugin

I was wondering if this is the same/similar as a normal Safari plugin, and if so could we just put in a flash one?

I believe on a Mac, the plugin directory is located in the same type of folders, HD/Library/Internet plug-ins, maybe somebody could look into it.

The rumors I've heard say Flash support is coming soon. But hey, those are just rumors...

Do you mean from Apple, or from another developer?

    Ok thanks.
I'm going to see what I can do myself. Hey for all we know it might end up to be really easy to do. Probably not, but I've got my hopes up... lol
Personally I don't want to wait for an update and find out it doesn't contain flash support still.
I've got plenty of free time, so it gives me something to do.

Im pretty sure that the plugin will need to be written to support the iPhone architecture.

i took the 3 files from mac os 10.4.10 that have to do with flash and uploaded them to the phone.. no luck. then i opened the plugin package and changed the file structure so everything is the root folder like how the iphones quicktime plugin is. still no luck..
i did notice the iphones quicktime plugin is 44 kb and safari on osx is 188kb.

im sure somebody could get it to work, but even if they did im sure it would crash safari more often than not because of the way the os is and how safai on iphone doesnt have access to the root filesystem like it does on osx and the way it caches files etc.

Different CPU types means different plugin architecture.
