The message is from the Iphone lost my phone thing, not from the carrier itself.

It's an IPhone 5 on iOS 7 stuck on screen that's says "this iPhone has been lost" any way around this?

No sir, no help here for that issue. Locked device though Find my Phone is typically a reported lost or stolen device. Contact your carrier.

No, it's not a carrier message, it's the apple lost phone message.

If you're the owner. Just go to apple store. They'll fix it for you.

Don't think he is the owner.

No, not the owner. Bought it from a friend, it had a bad battery and bad screen. I wanted to have this working by this weekend, I guess now I jut have to wait until I see my friend in person and have him enter it in, cause I know he knows it, but I think he just doesn't want to give it to me over the phone. It could be months until I see him again, and I wanted to try to play with it now and get it working!!!

Seems to me that at least a phone call to him to get the pass code to turn off FMP is the easiest way to resolve the issue then.

If he's your friend he just have to log on into find my iPhone and disable it. If he's the legitimate owner.
