    Hi team,

Thanks for everyones help thus far. I have read a lot of helpful stuff here and used a lot of the programs and techniques.

I basically had an unlocked 1.0.2 phone which I then upgraded to 1.1.2, downgraded to 1.1.1 and jailbroke and anysim1.2.1u and oktoprep, then upgraded to 1.1.2 and then decided to downgrade to 1.0.2 again.

So basically I did the entire 1.1.2 upgrade but without the jailbreak in 1.1.2 and I just went back to 1.0.2

So now I have 1.0.2 software and 1.1.2 firmware.

MY QUESTION IS: If I now update to 1.1.2 will I be able to jailbreak or will I need to do the 1.1.1 oktoprep again?

SECOND QUESTION: I currently can use any sim card even though I have the latest baseband. Will my baseband still be unlocked if I update to 1.1.2?

    Thanks guys!

It's a real shame we have to do all this **** just to get what should be ours normally. I am definitely ditching this iphone as soon as I get back from my world tour holiday.

Just do what you did the 1st time round, but don't downgrade again to 1.0.2. Why you did that I have no idea.

It's not a real shame, you had a perfectly fine phone and decided to mess about with it

I downgraded again because I ran out of time, I was doing this in an internet cafe before a flight (stupid i know).

Redcard are you saying I need to do 1.1.1 oktoprep steps again?

you can do oktoprep while on 1.0.2 and skip 111 all together. Also you can have a working unlocked 1.0.2 with a 4.02.13g base. That's what I had. I've been messing with my phone for a long time now. If you're in this situation run ok to prep while on 1.0.2 and UPDATE to 1.1.2, NOT restore. Then activate/jailbreak and you should already be unlocked.

Your the man Aglitch, did oktoprep while in 1.0.2 and then just updated to 1.1.2 and ran jailbreak and it worked flawlessly. So stoked!

For any future readers. If you have completed the Anysim1.2.1u unlock while in 1.1.1 then your phone will remain unlocked despite restoring to 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 or 1.1.2

The 1.1.2 unlocked baseband is restore and update resistant.
    AUSSIE IPHONE
    1.0.2 unlocked
    >1.1.1 oktoprep - anysim 1.2.1u
    1.0.2 with 1.1.2 baseband unlocked
    >oktoprep in 1.0.2 update to 1.1.2 and jailbroken (unlocked already)
    1.1.2 Unlocked and Jailbroken.

I got into the same mess. It was working fine in 1.1.2 updated and suddenly it didn't boot. So I downgraded to 1.1.1 and opened it in independence. It couldn't activate. So I downgraded it to 1.0.2 as advised by independence. Then I was able to activate.

But the baseband was that of 1.1.2. So I downloaded baseband downgrader from i.unlock.no and installed it. It downgraded the baseband to that of 1.0.2.

Then I followed the procedure to upgrade to 1.1.2 as usual.
