Right now I have a 1.1.3 locked iPhone and I want to run installer.app but I need to do the jailbreak downgrade with everything working including the sim so I can use my phone.

If somewhere in the long list of instructions something goes wrong can I just restore my iPhone to 1.1.3 locked again and just be right back at where I am now?

    Thanks for any replies

Yes, if your phone is a normal AT&T phone with no strangeness in the SIM card, you'll be fine. I went through the process a few days ago, and ran into some problems, and the ONLY thing that I KNEW I could do at any point, was to just restore it back to 1.1.3 bone stock. Once I got my problems solved, I was easily able to downgrade, jailbreak, and upgrade to a jailbroken 1.1.3. Very worth it, in the grand scheme.

Anytime. I've seen first hand how hard it can sometimes be to get a reply. Problem is, 90% of the people watching this forum are here to solve a problem, and a surprisingly small number of people have a handle on things.

ya I know I had 1.1.2 and it was stuck in recovery mode and I couldn't get it out so I upgraded to 1.1.3 and now I'm a little scared about the jailbreaking 1.1.3 anything I should look out for?

When I got stuck, this other guy helped me out when he figured out his own troubles. Check out this thread to see if maybe that method works for you. Worked great for me, and I thought for sure I wasn't gonna get mine working before I tried that. Now I'm on jailbroken 1.1.3 and couldn't be happier.
