so this might be a question that has already been answered...my voicemail has stopped working since i updated to beta 5. it just says "cannot connect to visual voicemail" or something like that. if i call my # from a different phone and i dont answer, i get my usual greeting. i reset the network settings and still its a no go. any help would be great.
I am not if it is necessary, but mine works, I never even checked before I updated with my ipcc file. When I did, in Cellular Data Network there was an option for a Visual Voicemail APN and it had Fido's APN for it in there and mine works. As for other carrier's I don't know for sure I am just going by my experience, but maybe you need to edit your APN after uploading an ipcc.

I replaced the sms.db via ssh (/var/mobile/Library/SMS/sms.db), launched Messages and it simply updated the database itself (I now have sms.db and sms-legacy.db)

but it doenst work the other way round... i cant use the sms.db of the 3.0 beta 4..... that sucks hard... all of my sms are lost if i downgrade back to 2.2.1 -.-

I agree, this sucks. I wanted to downgrade to 2.2.1 two days ago and couldn't get anything to save-SMS,contacts, notes, etc.. =[
(It just overwrote what I SSH'ed)

So I ended up coming back to 3.0 =|

You have to use the new Quickpwn above.
It puts newest Cydia, not Icy.

Is this 3G only or does it work with the iTouch 1g also?

Darn. I can't wait to be able to jailbreak beta 5 on my iTouch 1g.

I have no idea if its going to work, but I am going to try to install the new Cydia on beta 4. I unpacked the new QuickPWN and got the Cydia.tar.gz archive and copied it to the root of my iTouch. Then I extracted it with "tar xvpf ./Cydia.tar.gz" and now I'm rebooting my iTouch. I'll post back with what happens after it reboots.
