I am jailbreaking my 3G Iphone using these directions: iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 3G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)

I have followed all the steps, but am getting this error message when I open quickPwn:

This version of QuickPwn can only jailbreak devices with versions >+ 2.0.

Any idea why it is doing that? I have both these files below on my desktop ready to be used cause i wasnt sure which one was correct:

    iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Restore

    iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore

I need to get a Turbo Sim card to make the it work as a phone but for now Im just trying to jailbreak it so I can use it as an ipod until the sim card comes. Any thoughts on why this is doing this? Thanks!

Umm I have both of these firmwares on my desktop:
    iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Restore
    iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore

I tried clicking http://www.modmyi.com/forums/general...uestion.htmlon both to try them both out and Itunes keeps saying Itunes could not connect to the phone because an unknown error occurred. Im guessing I should be using the iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Restore one because Im just trying to jailbreak it so I can use it as an ipod for now. Does that sound right?

Put the phone in DFU mode and install 2.2.1, and if you don't get a error, then open quickpwn it will find the f/w 2.2.1 and make sure you check that one.

ok so once it is in DFU mode Itunes should pop up right? After that I should click on iPhone1,2_2.2.1_5H11_Restore ?? Is that the right order?

Well it depends on if the bootloader is 5.08 or 5.09 since the phone they gave you was probable a refurbish one. What is the serial#?

I think the K stands for refurbish...so it might have bootloader 5.08. Take a look here...http://www.modmyi.com/forums/iphone-...ck-button.html

Fuzzyband says my bootloader is 5.09 so that means I need a turbo sim card right? Does anyone know where to get those besides online. Do any stores carry ones that will work? Thanks!
