I've had all 3 iPhones now and the first 2 never gave me any problems. But the 3GS is reluctant. I can jailbreak it and start installing stuff from cydia but 1 of 2 things will happen. Either during the download/install from cydia it will freeze and I can't do anything but restart the phone.

Or I'll have to restart the phone to do something else, but when either of these 2 things happen I have to restore my firmware back to a non jailbreak and do it again.

What will happen is when the phone is being booted back up, it will freeze at the apple logo, or the loading circle will appear and freeze there.

This has happened every single time I've jailbroken the 3GS. Am I just not meant to do it?

How about posting which version of iPhone firmware you are using? 3.0 or 3.01 (7A400)? Which jailbreak tool are you using? Pwnage? version?
