have you downloaded it from the actual website or from a torrent..?
because it seems safe to me. Norton didn't pick anything up
Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

I'm not on here to ruin anybody's day. I came here because I couldn't download it from work, the Blackra1n website was blocked.

We have some pretty strong anti-virus and spam protection going on at work and I took the time out to spread the word.

My experience with Norton has been less than spectacular. If you're going to pay, you should go with McAfee. I like AVG and actually Windows' new anti-virus/spam package is kind of nice. Leaves a very small footprint.

Don't take my word for it and let me know what happens to your PC.

Be sure to run multiple scans with different anti-virus apps though that's the best way to catch anything AND do NOT download it with administrative privileges. Good luck.

I was referring to the upload here on this website. I can't speak for the original host.

eSafe hits "Suspicious" on all of them, likely having something to do with the way the program communicates with the iPod or the exploit itself. All programs say it is virus free, spyware free, adware free, and generally malware free. If your work blocked it, your I.T. guy is prolly just some kind of spy for Windows or something. Blackra1n is 100% safe.

    Hi All,

Ok guys, whats the deal with this Blackra1n v2.0 release on these forums??

To me, it screams and shouts fake...

    1) Nothing mentioned on Geohot's website.

    2) Wasnt uploaded by himself

    3) Google turns up very very little results about it.

    4) Way its worded, doesnt seem like an official statement

    5) There is a 200k increase in size from the previous one

    6) It has RealTek SemiConductor in file description, a known maker of hardware equipment...

    7) Is it April?? nooo.... we're heading fastly towards Xmas, so it cant be a joke.... can it??

So guys, whats the story with this release??

As the apps crashing on 3.1.2, or Blackra1n....??

    Cheers guys,

WTH is blackra1n v2.0? Why not just download the official one from

the official blackra1n does NOT have a virus, I mean trust me, if geohot wanted a virus on there, i'm sure he'd figure out a way for a simple escan to come out clean.

and also if your going to pay for a antivirus kaspersky>mcafee
The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!

Why would you dl blackra1n from someone whos not geohot ? I mean I understand you were anxious and all but the file could be so easily compromised. And now your work computer has a virus lol. Sorry for laughing at your mistake.
