1.x.x is way before my time, I didn't get onboard the jailbreak train until 2.1-ish so I missed out on all the early fun

it wasn't as much fun back then as you think...

you had to have folders with all these files in certain locations and use terminal commands and such, it wasn't as nice as it is now, just clicking some buttons

I'd live with some digging around in the terminal, I spend plenty of time there already so it wouldn't bother me too much, although I admit I'll never turn my nose up when someone takes the time to put together a nice gui for something

I got a 2G with 1.1.4 about a month before the 3G. So I sold my 2G for $200 and bot a 3G. So I was lucky to avoid all that hassle

I'm doing the same. I am planning on doing a restore. Updating iTunes with this disk image seems to be a bit sketchy.

    Did you have any issues?

Not really, if you've used OSX before. Just time consuming to download, install etc... Especially for me, I only have a couple gig left on my HD. I deleted everything I could?? Time for a bigger drive.

To anyone who has issues updating to iTunes 9.1 simply stop the iTunes Helper (if running) and drag iTunes.app into the trash.

    I had better luck!
