u right click it, click rename, and change .zip to .ispw

cant see why you would want to do this? As you have to un-zip the file to get the 'spirit' application but meh...

To change compatibility settings manually for a program, right-click the icon for the program, click Properties, and then click the Compatibility tab.

Go to the offical site. it DOES not come in a .rar file it comes in a .exe for windows

    Spirit

    it is updated on May3th

''Update (May 3): I've updated the jailbreak tool. It no longer deletes photos (sorry!) and should resolve the issue with error code c0000005. (If you still get that error with the new version, try setting compatibility mode to Windows 95.)''

I am running windows xp. NO I have not tried running the program, couldn't see the need if everyone said it had to be changed first.

I'm curious... do you not get the compatibility tab on ANY program or just Spirit?

Running in 98 compatability mode was mostly for win 7 users. It should work fine for you on xp. But like cybercore said the official spirit doesn't come in a .zip file. You should redownload it from spiritjb.com. Then just double click to run it
