I have an iPhone 3GS 16GB running 3.1.2, jailbroken with Blackra1n. It was running fine until the Rock "virus" hit it yesterday, and I had the apparently common "only boot to Apple logo, then shutdown" problem.

I have SHSH on file with Cydia for 3.1.2 for my device, and attempted to use this guide to restore my phone to 3.1.2

I get an "Error 3014" (on the "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple) step when I try to restore using the above guide.

Any ideas on how to get past this error?

I have an iPhone on 3.1.3 but with firmware 05.11.07. I used sn0wbreeze to accomplish this, but I'm frustrated with a few cydia errors. So I wanted to dowgrade back to 3.1.2. I had shsh blobs saved on cydia for 3.1, 3.1.2, and 3.1.3. Yet it returns me with the same error 3014 you got. I am confident sauriks server is down or maybe it is overloaded. Once the shsh notice returns in Cydia, I bet we can downgrade.

I think you're right. I kept retrying the above guide, and eventually it successfully restored! Saurik's server must've just been down/overloaded.

It was not a "Virus" it just messed up the boot data files, you need to update cydia stuff with cydia and rock stuff with rock.
