i jailbreaked it with Spirit the other day...

i decided to do a erase all content and settings once it complete the phone got stuck on the apple logo (with a circle loading) underneath...

it stayed like this for a good couple of hours...

then i started looking around to see a fix... i read that i should put my phone into DFU mode / recovery mode and then restore in itunes...

i tried that.. but got the Error 1015...

Now i have no idea what to do... is my iphone bricked?

    help please???

Put it in DFU mode. If you're truly in DFU mode the screen will be black and have nothing on it. iTunes will recognize that you're in DFU mode.

I tried entering my phone into DFU mode and my computer then recongnized the iphone again.. when itunes started it said i was still in Recovery mode... but thought what the heck... so im now trying to restore again...

will being in DFU mode mean i wont get the error 1015?

iTunes sees recovery and dfu mode in the same way and tells you that it detects iPhone in recovery, your good to go.

tried it... i got the 1015 error and my phone is now sitting in recovery mode again.

maybe i didnt get into DFU mode... however the screen was black...

is it the same method getting into DFU mode from Recovery mode?

Isn't the 1015 error when you are trying install a firmware that your current baseband isn't compatible with, I think you can use irecovery to get out of that, don't quote me on that but it seems that I read that somewhere recently

    Here is what I read

"1015 error is when trying to use a firmware that has a lower version baseband than the one installed on the phone.

Use rslite to get out of recovery mode after the downgrade/restore. You can read about how here: redsn0w 0.9.5 BETA [iPhone Dev Team] under the section: Help! I should have listened and just left this for JB app devs!"

No, not the phone, iTunes version.
But those 2 links I gave you will get the phone out of boot loop and will allow you to restore.
