I just downgraded my Iphone from 4.0.2 to 4.0.1 by downloading the 4.0.1 IPSW and shift clicked and it restored it to factory default settings like when I first got it back with 4.0.1. I then restored in itunes and got my apps back from the original setup. Now to download cydia again and get that all running.

I didnt get my SHSH backed up unfortunatly so this was a big plus and it still works great now. I just an iphone so I didnt really know about it.

    All good..

Restore it while you can till Apple stop signing 4.0.1!!!!

Great to know that apple is still signing them, though its weird they didn't, but most likely will in the upcoming week. SO DOWNGRADE WHILE YOU CAN!
Please press the Thanks button if I ever helped, you'd be helping me

OP which iPhone do you have?

A friend of mine has a 3G, upgraded yesterday . I'm hoping we can downgrade her to 4.0.1

She's leaving the country at the end of the month. She has to be unlocked to use her phone.

A normal 3G (not S) can still be JB using redsn0w on 4.0.2 anyway.

Yea I have a brand new Iphone4 After screwed with 4.0.2 I was pretty frustrated reading that redsn0w would only do 3G and the older Ipods. I was pretty glad to figure out that apple was still signing 4.0.1. Hopefully they still are now. Good luck to you who still need it fixed. Looking forward to the 4.1 update and Jailbreak
