Use pwnage tool or snowbreeze to make a custom 4.3.3 firmware and restore to that.

I have tried that but i had some issues with carrier signal. I was wondering can i use orginal 4.3.3 fw with tiny umbrella as usual. Put DFU, start tss, open itunes and restore, when we get error 1013 hit exit recovery. Will that work?

The signal issues you are seeing are normal when preserving baseband on firmware 4.3.X. You need to install ultrasnow to fix the signal bar issue.

Its ok, ultrasnow shouldnt harm anything, it is designed to just fix the signal bar issue if you cannot unlock right now.

Ok. Thanks. Also for the question is that possible? Should i try it or stay away from tiny umbrella?

I believe it is possible but getting out of recovery after the 1013 error may be a real headache. The tiny umbrella "fix recovery" button is a bit hit and miss.

And you would still be left with the same signal display issue.

No, if you want to keep your base band as is you must create custom firmware to jailbreak and then run ultrasnow to correct the bar issue.

Hey folks! I'm on iOS Beta 5 on Verizon iPhone 4. Used XCode to load it up. I have SHSH 4.2.6 (Cydia) saved. What steps do I need to take EXACTLY to go from iOS Beta 5 back to 4.2.6 so I can re-jailbreak? I'm on iTunes 10.5 beta if that helps. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Sticking with iOS Beta 5 for a bit but wanted to know how to go back if needed. Thanks much. (Do all mods on MacBook Pro).

You would just start the TSS server (after saving your SHSH of course) then shift/option restore to 4.2.6. You will get an error near the end of the process at which time you can use greenpoison on it to jailbreak and boot up.

so i got a quick question, i am on 4.0.1 and everything on my phone is messed up. i lose service after installing a few random apps, and my youtube has not been working for the longest time.

so my question is, should i just use tinyumbrella to restore and unlock on 4.0.1, or would changing my iOS be easier for a j/b and unlock? thanks!

Its up to you. A fresh restore to 4.0.1 may help. If you decide to go to 4.3.3 make sure you use a custom firmware made with pwnage tool or snowbreeze so that you preserve your baseband so that you can still unlock after.
