Does this mean when there is a updated 4.1 JB, old jailbreakme users will lose everything like cydia apps etc?

You always lose cydia apps when you update, no getting around that.

If you want to test the validity use the keys provided to decrypt the 4.0.1 firmware dmg - while this is indeed excellent news it most likely means we may have to wait some time for a Jailbreak for 4.1 while the Dev team mash out the exploit - I believe they had userland exploits in hand which would have been quick to deploy, but it is pointless wasting them if they can use this bootrom exploit which pretty much makes jailbreak stable until Apple manufacture devices with new hardware.

I am not asking for a release, nor complaining, I was simply asking if anyone had any news on the topic specifically concerning the IPT4G

There was alot of hype in regards to sn0wbreeze 2.0(beta) being able to jailbreak (if I remember correctly) all the iOS 4.1 Beta releases with success.

Does anyone know if this is working for the iOS 4.1 FULL Release ?? I haven't seen any postings on the web/twitter from iH8sn0w that he has attempted this yet.

sn0wbreeze has not been updated to work for 4.1, and assuming at some point it will be it will still only work with iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G (and maybe old bootrom 3GS) as all it is is a port of pwnage tool for windows.

No, you can't downgrade a iphone 4 if you bought it brand new with 4.0.2 on it. You need SHSH to downgrade.

I know bootrom exploit means you are jailbroken for life but how does it work when a new firmware comes out? When you update do you have to rejailbreak again or do you just install a cydia.deb?

You have to rejailbreak unless your device accepts custom firmware but AFAIK that only works for orginal and 3G phones.
