What version of iTunes being used with snowbreeze? I've tried to manually restore after snowbreeze but keeps going to apple update online and gets back with error msgs. Followed the instructions on unplugging unit but still goes back to update center.

    Any ideas?

The latest iTunes should be fine. Are you putting your phone into pwned dfu mode before trying to restore to the custom fw in iTunes?

phone already jb. tried to upgrade BB but failed. Keeps hanging @ "waiting for boot". iTunes 9..trying to load 4.2.1. I downgraded iTunes according guides. Should I go back to 10.2?

Things are getting confusing for meh as I read so many posts regarding same jb method.

i.Annie, currently phone is 3.1.3 on 05-15-04 (JB). I am trying to upgrade BB so I can unlock. I can't seem to find a source/guide that works. All redsnow versions (I have 4 of them) doesn't seem to work except 0.9.4 which accepts 3.1.2 FW. 6b5 accepts 4.2.1 but cannot go past "waiting for boot". I only select ipad baseband.

what am I doing wrong here?

Have you tried upgrading to stock 4.3.3, the using the newest redsn0w to update the baseband (without installing Cydia first, then install Cydia with redsn0w after the bb flash).

Cydia is already installed during downgrade from 4.2.1. that's why I only selected ipad baseband during redsnow. iTunes cannot accept downloaded 4.3.3. Says not compatible.

Are you using the right firmware for your device in regards to stock 4.3.3?

redsnow with 3.1.2 (jb and downgrade from 4.2.1) and boots up ok with 3.1.3. Baseband still the same and to my understanding, this BB cannot be unlocked. Now, how do I get this up from 3.1.3 to 4.x.x???? The way I see it, redsnow does not accept 3.1.3/BB 05.15.04 B/L 6.4... itunes cannot upgrade. At the end it gives error 10xx or 30xx errors based on fw's used (3.1.2 and 4.0). I'm trying to upgrade thru iphone wifi and see if it works.....

    Wish me luck!

UPDATE: Now wifi is not working

Well I would really suggest using a stock 4.3.3 firmware. If all else fails that's the best way bc you're loading a firmware that Apple is still signing and it's a clean restore which eliminates issues.

But I'm still not understanding what error or problem you're running into when restoring to a stock 4.3.3 firmware.

Ok,did something last nite. Put phone in dfu mode (redsn0w_win_0.9.6b5 with FW 4.1). Opened iTunes and manual upgrade (stock FW 4.1). Now phone is 4.1 with same baseband. Still cannot apply ipad baseband. It stops @ "fetching... please wait".... ??????

Downloading stock FW 4.2 to upgrade again. Can FW 4.1 baseband be upgraded to 6xxxx? If so, I can't find any methods that work. All failed. Just need a lead and will take it from there....

    Wish meh luck!

    WiFi Still Not Working, why?

I want to jailbreak my iPod
Touch 2g 4.2.1 mc model. It is the first time I'm going to jailbreak, and I'm kinda nervous...
Anyway, I got sn0wbreeze 2.2.1. ,already made the costume firmware, but the original firmware is like 446 megabytes and the costume firmware is 442 megabytes why? Should I redo the costume firmware? And other question: If after I put my iPod in DFU MODE and iTunes doesn't recognize the firmware, how could I exit DFU mode without restoring my iPod?(Remember: I got a 2g 4.2.1 MC model iPod.) I still don't know if I should jailbreak my iPod. Should I run the risk? And I think this is the most important question: Is jailbreaking wort the risk? Thank you!

P.D : Sorry for all the questions but I'm nervous...
    How do I post?
