I did my first jailbreak about a year ago, and I believe I used redsn0w.

I inherited a 3G last summer from my older brother, and I'm on T-Mobile. Unlock and Jailbreak went smoothly.

However the other night I was deleting files via the iPhone and I accidentally deleted the Cydia store, but all of mt downloadables stayed on the phone. Aaand I have iOS 3.1.2, and it sucks. My phone feels like it's chugging to do anything, and it's annoying.

I just wanted some advice on whether upgrading to a newer iOS would be a good idea, and would it be possible on my hardware. I've been searching for a little while on some articles or anything, but most of them support the 3GS, and not my iOS.

Restoring to 3.1.3 is simple and easy

    Download 3.1.2 and 3.1.3, and redsn0w 0.9.4.

    shift/select restore 3.1.3 w/itunes.
    redsn0w, select 3.1.2 (not 3.1.3), for jailbreak

    install ultrasn0w to unlock

    Done.
