You select firmware folder not the file. Remember the Folder containing the firmware file.

    I too need help.

I just got the phone and tried to Jailbreak. I screwed up and let off too soon (sleep and home button) before completing the process. Now I've got the connect to ITunes warning.

I downloaded the 1.0.2 but it will not let me "choose" the "Firmware" folder.

Help! I too don't know which folder to choose.

I have a MacBook Pro. Thanks,

If your computer doesn't allow to select the folder containing the firmware 1.0.2, then most probably you already have the firmware installed on your iphone.
I had faced the same problem and I foud out that my Iphone already had the right version installed.

    This is true..
I had the same problem (but needed to restore to a clean install) .. select the restore.plist (caution) I had to downgrade my iTunes to 7.3 for it work, otherwise it wants to go to 1.1.1.
