    Please help- iTunes error 11 when upgrading iPhone 4 to 5.1.1 custom ipsw w/ preserved baseband. I have saved shsh and running tiny umbrella. I can't find any info out there on the particular iTunes error. thks!

    You cant use tiny umbrella to update to anything above 5.x, You must stitch the blobs to the IPSW

    you dont stitch the blobs to a firmware that Apple is still signing, stitching of the blobs are only meant for downgrading purposes..

    dont run tinyumbrella as previously mentioned, since you already have a custom firmware created, run iREBv5 to get your phone into PWNED DFU MODE

    then CHECK THE HOSTS FILE located C Drive: System32/Drivers/Etc/Hosts

    run notepad and open the HOSTS file with it, and check to verify that there is no entry with the following "gs.apple.com", if there is DELETE it, if NOT, then open itunes and it will detect that your phone is in RECOVERY MODE, hold the SHIFT KEY + CLICK RESTORE and point it to the CUSTOM FIRMWARE

    I did that and still get error 11 when I try to restore any iDevice.
    Any other hints?

    Please indicate your device, what iOS it's on, and what iOS you are trying to restore to

    Also what shsh you have saved on the device
