    I did a no_bb and stitched it from cydia.

    Put the phone in dfu mode and restore

    Try this out

    the HOSTS file is located here:
    C drive -> System32 -> drivers -> etc

    open up the HOSTS file with notepad (run notepad as an administrator)

    then check to see if the file has the hosts entry "74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com", if it is, delete it, save the file

    the hosts file dose not have that line ( 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com ) and itunes keep giving me that 1600 error ( while i keep running the TinyUmbrella in the background TSS Serve ) !!

    You can't upgrade to iOS 5.1.1 but you can upgrade to iOS 5.0.1. That firmware is still open. Use the latest redsn0w to restore your idevice. It works the same as iTunes. You won't get any crazy errors.
