Hi, I have an iPhone 4 (GSM, iOS 6.0.1, factory unlocked by AT&T). I must have deleted some files that I wasn't supposed to delete. I'm not sure how or what happened, but when I open Cydia, I get an error message. Can't Restore.... ?-img_1217.png.

It is what it is. So the solution would be to restore my iPhone and then re-jailbreak it. Sounds easy. I've done this before. But I'm having problems.

I downloaded <iPhone3,1_6.1.2_10B146_Restore> from the link provided in the downloads section of this website. I updated to the latest version of iTunes. I put my phone in DFU mode. I opened iTunes and <option>clicked <Restore>.

iTunes says taht it is "extracting software" and then I get the error message "the iPhone could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build."

Is there something that I've done wrong?

    Thank you for your help.

I know the filename says iPhone3...... but I'm downloading the file from this page: iPhone 4 GSM 6.1.2 - Downloads - Apple, iPhone and iPad Forums | ModMyi.com. The page says it's for "iPhone 4 GSM 6.1.2"

I thought it was just a strange filename. Are you sure?

    PS thanks for your reply.

Probably due to apple not signing 6.1.2, you'll have to restore to the latest firmware, which is now ios7.
