I would upgrade using iTunes 7.5 it tends to be a little easier. THe iphone.unlock.no is a GREAT upgrade method very easy and works very well (I follow that anytime I have to restore...i like to customize....so need to restore sometimes).

Here is a link to 7.5. You will need to uninstall 7.6 and then restart your PC and then install 7.5 I personally use and prefer 7.4 but 7.5 works just fine.

Were you trying to do an upgrade, or a restore? There's a big difference there! I would even try restoring first before you downgrade iTunes, as your iTunes Library.itl gets cranky when you do.

It might be. I have heard that some of the upgrading processes that you want to go through (so you can activate/unlock/etc.) requires a lower version of iTunes but if you are straight upgrading from 1.1.1 then I would try that first. I used 7.5 to upgrade 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 using i.unlock.no's method

I had no problems downgrading my Itunes. I think once I had the library go cranky but fixed it relatively easily.

Yeah it's no problem unless you're a dummy like me, and erased your library. (20+ hours of organizing down the drain.)

Oh crap. Sorry to hear that KatetheKitten!! I was lucky that I didn't lose my library. I actually don't know how I did to not lose it...lol
