I originally unlocked my 1.0.2 phone using the guide here and more recently upgraded to 1.1.1 using PF's awesome guide. It was working fine for a while then suddenly today my entire screen is unresponsive to touch. I've done several hard resets, but it makes no difference. The touchscreen won't accept any input in any areas. Looking on Apple's forums it looks as though it's a known hardware issue. As I've voided the warranty I'd like to at least try to fix it.

    What do you guys suggest...

Should I restore to 1.1.1 or 1.0.2? Any other things I could try?

    Thanks in advance.

Downgrade to 1.0.2 and then virginize? Or is there a virginizer for 1.1.1? Given that the touchscreen is completely unresponsive that might be tricky.

Okay, did a restore to 1.1.1 and the screen doesn't respond at all so it's obviously a hardware issue.

How do I get this back to a virgin state? Is it even possible?
