    Ok. Here's the story...

I just updated to the new installer, 3.11, and was having problems with trying to start Cydia. I was going to attempt a reinstall, but decided to just try and restart my phone first.
The phone started in verbose mode, thinking to myself "I don't remember tuning that on...?"
Then it came to a line in the code that says:
    Code:
    :/ root#
and just stops. It does nothing at all, just sits there no matter how long I wait. It comes up just after it says:
    Code:
      I/O Version: 0x0002
      Hardware Version: 0x0011
      Mac Address: 00:1c:b3:40:xx:xx

I really need help. To at least recover some of my files (is there a way to access my files in recovery mode?). I have important stuff I would like to save. But it would be great if I could start my phone...

    Please, anyone! HELP

If you don't have SSH turned on by default you will lose all your files and have to DFU restore to fix your phone.

    Doesn't matter, just restored...
SSH doesn't work in Restore Mode. I tried lots to get it to work, jailbreaking, restarting, even pwning. Nothing would work. Just didn't wanna boot. Ahh well. Was just really weird...

    Haha, "Where there's a will there's a way..."
I think the only time iPhones really become bricks is when there dropped into a bucket of water...
