Why are people paying over $600 for a 3G iPhone on ebay when you can buy it in the store for $199 and $299. If they buying it to work on T-Mobile network, thats dumb when the 3G network isn't going to work with it. And if its AT&T customers buying it off ebay, thats crazy to pay that much for a phone just because u didn't want to renew your contract for 2 more years. You was going to stay with AT&T anyway so just buy it for $199 or $299 AT&T folks.

I was wondering the EXACT same thing

Contracts must be signed in stores so how is this going to work

Feel bad for the people that paid through the roof.

The question is , how can they sell it in eBay without signing a contract with at&t?

As we know, you won't be able to leave the store without signing a contract, so what's going on?

Personally, I don't want to stick with at&t for 2 years, their 3G network will be loaded with the iphone customers. I really doubt their network can handle them.

Note that T-Mobile is deploying the 3G network nationwide and will be completed by end of 2008, actually it is running in New York now.

Also for those traveling overseas, it will be very expensive to use the LOCKED at&t overseas. It will be cheaper to buy a local SIM card and stick it to the UNLOCKED iphone and pay as you go...........

    Thanks

People are selling there corporate pre-sale 3G iPhones. If you have a corporation you can get a businness/corp plan and get more than 3 iPhones. I was approved for 7 iPhones. imagine selling these $800 a piece it adds up.
