    open any window on ur pc like my computer tap view or tools no sour the folder options and uncheck the pox (hide common file extension ) then go back to ur ringtones I'll see them ended with .m4a change it to .m4r the icon should change to iTunes open it and it will move to ur iTunes ringtones folder and will be added to ur ringtone tap

    What you need to do is set 'known extensions' like bmp jpeg mp3 mp4 etc... to visible here is how:

    1: Go to My Computer
    2: At the top of the window click the 'Tools' menu and select 'Folder Options...'
    3: Click the second tab in the new window that pops up
    4: Under 'Advanced Settings' scroll through the list until you see this entry:
    'Hide extensions for known file types'
    5: Make sure that the box next to the above entry is unchecked
    6: Apply the changes, 'ok' the box, and you should be able to see the songs as 'SongName.mp4' as opposed to 'SongName'.

    To change the file from mp4 to m4a:

    1: Right click over the mp4 file, and select 'Rename'
    2: Change the 'mp4' to 'm4a' like so: 'SongName.mp4' --> 'SongName.m4a'
    3: That is all Just re-add the 'new' m4a files to itunes and they will show up under ringtones

    Note, the post before mine was entirely correct, however it seems that it wasn't clear enough for ya.
