Install UIctl to ensure all of your services are really turned off. They appear in red when not active.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

Try turning your brightness down. After I turned my brightness down (by a small fraction) I noticed a dramatic increase in battery life.

Don't know what com.JC.SMST is, but its not part of the built-in daemons. Try turning it off in UIctl (unload -w com.JC.SMST) and see if your battery lasts longer.

    So the rest is normal?

I just went through the same thing and I ended up doing a full downgrade restore to 1.0.2 and that fixed the battery issue. I re upgraded to 1.1.2 and jaoibroke and re did my mods and all seems well so far. I noticed that the battery problem happened after I installed John Tool, Camera Pro and modded carrier icon, modded battery icons and signal bars, and categories. I did all teh recommended things like uninstalling suspect programs, shutting down ssh but no effect. I have my phone back to almost what it was before (minus a couple of apps) and it seems fine.

I believe that is the Taskbar Notifier daemon. I found references on hackint0sh about it.
User there with the same battery issue with that daemon.

    Hi BHZ1,

I am also considering doing what you did to increase the battery life. Can you please guide me or let me know how you downgraded ?
I have an OTB 1.1.1 unlocked by using Anysim.

    Thanks.

How often are you using the phone? I think its pretty standard to have to charge every other day at least even without much use.

Please excuse my ignorance, but why would turning the auto-off save battery power. Wouldn't it stay on if you forgot to turn the screen off and drain more battery that way?
