Yesterday, i was using my phone (1st gen jailbroken 1.1.4) as normal. everything was fine and working. Then i connected to my computer, and it took longer than normal for itunes to detect it the device. Then it showed that I had no songs or playlists. Nothing showed up, but it it seems that all the songs were still taking up room in the hard drive, but it was just catagorized as other. Then I would go on my phone, and it shows that I had no songs =/. I tried restarting it, but it did not work. What is wrong with it? Is there anything way I can fix it without restoring it? Restoring it would be my last resort... Thanks

Try Resyncing, go to sync options uncheck all your music that you had on there, Sync, It will delete them all from the phone, Then ReSync and check all your music again, That should fix it, If not then probibly a Restore

You can either SSH into your phone and manually delete all the music or sounds like a restore

chown -R mobile:mobile /private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/Music should change the owner for that then just change it to Artwork instead of Music
