i currently own an iphone 2G 2.0.1 unlocked. Today, I made modifications to my carrier account and they gave me a new sim. Up to now, edge and all data connections were disabled. But when I put my new sim, data connections got activated. I called customer service and they told me I coudn't disable data on an iPhone. So I did it myself through Bossprefs. I also changed the apn through the plists and added a new profile just to be sure. Now, my phone doesn't send data anymore. But I am still worried if it sends data in the background. Can anyone tell me if it is possible or I am just a total paranoid ?
    Thanks !

how can they not disable data? Talk to a higher up.

But other than that I think you're pretty much in the clear, keep an eye on cellular data usage in settings just in case.
