I believe I dropped the fone from about 4 feet above the floor. The problem now is that the lower half of the touch screen lost its touch. The top half works perfectly though. Is there anyway to fix it?

Aside from attempting a return at Apple.

You can find another screen (most likely from a broken iphone, good screen) and replace it. Look through ebay, craigslist, our B/S/T and you can probably get one (broken iphone) fairly cheap.

Someone on Craigslist offered 200 USD for my phone, is it a good deal?

If I can get a working screen, how would i switch the broken screen from the phone to the new one? Do I need to take it to an expert?

If its a first-gen (2G) then $200 is great for that.

There's plenty of tuturials on the wed for disassembling the phone, its not impossible, just a little bit of a pain. You need 2 somewhat special tools, but can be bought for really cheap off the web.

Or you could pay someone, depends on how tech savvy you are.
