If you've seen any of my recent posts I just purchased two iPhones on Saturday...one for my wife and one for me. They are great but I'm having one problem that seems to be giving me a major headache. I can't get the iPHone to talk to my Home Network.

I'm using a Linksys wireless router that supports B/G networks. I have a laptop that connects to it with no problems. When I enter the password to the router name I get a "can not join network" error (or something close to that). Is there a special setting in iPhone I need to play with to correct this or is this something in Linksys I need to play with to allow both the iPhones and my laptop to speak to the network?

Thanks for any assistance to the question(s).

You need your linksys to run a WPA2-PSK encryption. Should work for ya.

I'm experiencing the same issue as well, it doesn't seems to respond a soon as i enter the WEP key. I need to access my router with the main computer connected (hard wire) then in the "status" tab at the bottom of the page i click on : DHCP RELEASE then DHCP RENEW
it worked for me but it's annoying if i have to do this sometime other than that it works just fine...

I'll play with it either tonight or one day later in the week and let you know what happens.

    Thanks!

JedixJarf thanks for the advise. Changed the WIFI from WEP to WPA Personal and I was up and running. I also set my WiFi to only allow approved MAC address so my two iPhones are free to go.
