I have my 16GB 3G on eBay to help subsidize the cost of my new 3GS.

There are only a few hours left in the auction and I'm not even close to my selling goal of $284.45!

why buy your used 3G for $284 when the could be buying a new or refurb 3g for $99???
bad marketing...if you are going to offer it for that much, you need incentives.

^Yup, your asking price is not bad. With a good listing you should be able to sell it fairly easily.

If you are running it on auction then there is a good chance it will stay a low price until the last few auctions minutes, I have been watching 16gb 3g's on £110 ($181 USD) for days, then in the last minute a flurry of bids come through as watchers try and get the winning bid in the last seconds - bumping it up to often around £300 ($495 USD). Most long term ebayers will watch and not bid until the last minute, I do that alot and you can get some bargains but at the same time you can get outbid at the last moment. I've lost out on some stuff by a few pounds because someone got in the killer high bid in the dying seconds.

    Only got 300 for it.

The guy still hasn't paid, which is legal. I know he has a few days to pay.

I just always pay immediately after I win.

I got really lucky and sold my one month old 8gb unlocked for 460 on ebay the same day the unlock came out. I had all the accessories and a case and a screen protector and i guess this guy had a lot of money even though the 2nd highest bid was 455 ,i thought i was going to get 330 at most.

I sold my 16gig 3G for $385 on ebay last week.

    unlocked and jailbroken.

the market is flooded with them. most going for around 300.

but if you jailbreak it, unlock it, put tons of apps on it then show it correctly in your auction, you could get more.

    **WARNING**

There are some very crafty scammers operating on eBay at the moment, dont be fooled by fake emails that look like they are from paypal saying you must supply them with a shipping number before receiving payment as cleared.

IGNORE any emails that you receive directly to your email that do not come through eBay or you may fall prey to these scum suckers.

^ This happened to a co-worker of mine. She asked me what it meant and I told her not to do it. She fell for it though, sent and never got payment. She didn't take it to bad, more of a lesson learned thing for her.
