This was fixed on Motorola phones by editing a file. Hopefully it will be that simple on the iPhone

When asked what he would say to the columbine killers, Marilyn Manson said, "I would say nothing to them. I would listen to what they have to say, because that's what nobody else did" from the movie Farenheit 9/11

How does Apple know what issues that have if the consumers don't tell them?

Maybe you should report this on Apples forums...

    Oh wait.

Apple spies members are crawling around in this forum too...

I had a treo 650 prior to the iphone and they were notorious for the same issues.

Someone actually developed a program (basically a background hack) that when installed, ignored the limits placed on the volume controls by the software. You could crank it up as loud as you want - just dont blow up your speaker.

I am sure someone will figure this out in short order.

Search around for threads on this... people have been talking about this since day one so I'm sure there are already a hand full of topics on it discussing tips on how to fix it and stories of people getting them replaced.

Does anyone have an original com.apple.celestial.plist they can send me? I noticed the original (which I don't have anymore) had more settings than the one minicris keeps sending us to.
