Ok, ive just done this with the sonic + golden axe sega emulator games from the appstore and they play at full speed perfectly, no odd slow downs every now and again like before.

Streets of rage has had many complaints about the slow down so going to buy it and try it now.

Nope, no luck. And zod's genesis4iphone emulator still has random speed ups and slow downs with streets of rage

^ lol. If it works I will get it on a repo so it can all be done via cydia. I can make it so it creates a backup of the languages and places it somewhere on the media partition.
That'd be awesome! I was looking around my iPhone the other day and saw a lot of languages and other carriers and I was wondering if you could remove them... Good to see others think the same Keep us updated dude

Ok. I just did this with EVERY stock iphone app... No problems. I backed them all up first though (except for weather.app, i forgot! Safari and Mail load faster... I'll test others and see. I also wondered what "Crana" said above about the differnt carriers and if this would help speed things also.

Just did the wiping of the Safari.app. Perhaps my 3g connection isnt the best here in Central Texas. It takes me a short while to load a page BUT once loaded, it flies during navigation. There is an experiment of this caliber brewing over at xsellize. Check it out. These techy dudes are deleting languages AND LaunchDaemons and such.

Hmmmmm. I just did all of my stock apps and all is well. Very noticeable changes in load times. Havent been able to detect load speed changes on 3rd party apps yet..

No not yet. It really isnt hard to do yourself. Just SSH in and delete all the .lproj folders apart from English for the apps you want.
