    I jailbreak my Iphone 3G to 3.0 and the battery was doing great without the simcard until i inserted the simcard i saw the battery drain very fast

    i turned off 3G

    Did you restore from backup? Restore (to 3.0 or 3.0.1) and set up as new.

    i restored the phone through the apple firmware that i downloaded b4 and i believe it was 3.0.1

    Yes. But after the restore iTunes gives you two options.
    To restore from Backup of ____'s phone or to set up as new.
    Which did you choose?

    Yeah.. that's probably the reason.
    Restoring from backups on big firmware releases/jumps almost always cause battery drainage and many other problems.
    Restoring and setting up as new should fix the problem if you're willing to lose the data.

    Okay. Make sure you shift+click restore & select 3.0/3.0.1 instead of actually restoring since that'll put you in 3.1 which you don't want to be.

    okay just restored as new and the battery draining part is working fine but now my wifi seems very very slow when i connected to my home wifi
    im only getting 1/3 bars
